The pen and pencil are crafted in sturdy metal construction with a thick gold plated finish which contributes for their great appeal and endurance. The pens are designed in a unique guilloche pattern with extremely fine groups of lines from top to the bottom. They feature slightly more angular curves and their silhouette is more elegant and refined. The gold and silver tones complement each other perfectly creating beautiful gracious pens. The clips feature nice crisp engravings with the Senator branding name. The ballpoint pen uses an easy to operate and convenient push-button mechanism which is very smooth and responsive with a precise and effortless on/off action. The original refill is included but we will also provide you a brand new black Schneider 56 M Express refill, which fits this vintage pen, so it can be used right away. This pen will give you the perfect writing experience as it simply glides on any paper producing constant smooth lines. The mechanical pencil uses 1.00mm leads which can be extracted through the twist smooth and easy operational mechanism.Several leads are included so the pencil can be used right away. It produces neat writing and it’s also suitable for technical drawing producing lines of constant width. The pens are in mint condition, ready to be used. --- REFORM Reform était l'une des grandes marques allemandes dans la fabrication d'instruments d'écriture, caractérisée par une excellente qualité à des prix abordables. Fondée à Heidelberg par Philip Mutschler et quelques collègues de l'ancienne société Kaweco en 1928, son prénom était « Certo ». Ils s'installent dans un petit atelier avec peu de machines et seulement dix ouvriers et l'entreprise se développe jusqu'en 1938 lorsqu'ils construisent une nouvelle usine. Pendant ce temps, ils coopèrent avec une entreprise de Nieder-Ramstadt appelée Reform, avec laquelle ils fusionnent en 1939, adoptant le nouveau nom et créant un nouveau logo avec un « R » avec des ailes. L'entreprise grandit et gagne en prestige au point de fabriquer sur commande des instruments d'écriture complets auprès de marques telles que Rotring, Geha, Herlitz, Cross, Elysée, Dunhill, Dupont, Cartier, Caran D'ache, etc... . Aux États-Unis, ils commercialisaient leurs produits techniques via Alvin. Ils rachètent également les sociétés DEGUSSA et RUPP, fabricants renommés de plumes. Les choses se sont très bien passées pendant de nombreuses années, fabriquant 10 millions de stylos par an dans les années 80 et 90 jusqu'à ce qu'ils commencent à avoir des problèmes en 1999 en raison de l'évolution des marchés. Finalement, en 2003, ils ont arrêté toute production et ont déclaré faillite. Curieusement, les stylos-plumes qu'ils fabriquaient à la même époque ressemblent beaucoup aux produits Staedtler, notamment les pointes tubulaires et les détails tels que le capuchon ou la clé hexagonale sur le manche, il n'est donc pas déraisonnable de penser que Staedtler les a fabriqués pour eux. .
